Travel Guide

A Munich Welcome card can be bought for 1 2 or 3 days and for different zones. See the Section in this Guide on Tourist Information for more detail on this card - which gives you free transport and also reductions to most of the main attractions, sights and museums.

You can buy single tickets from the blue ticket machines which display the logo of MVV logo and there are also other outlets which sell tickets. You need to validate your ticket, again in a blue machine but this time market with an “E”, when you board. On some trams, your ticket is pre validated.
